Estate of Mind launches artist-designed merchandise line, with call to visual artists
Hoodies in time for the holidays!
There’s a new way to support the est8 and its contributing creators—you can shop our growing line of Estate of Mind merch. Each design was contributed by one of the est8’s artists, and we’re looking for more contributors. Proceeds of all sales are split between the est8 and the designing artist.
This is one of several initiatives we’re launching to create more income opportunities for our creators. I believe that part of building a truly diverse and inclusive community here involves not only being affordable and accessible to low-income artists, but also building opportunities for creators to connect with ways to monetize their craft.
Lots of our supporters have requested Estate of Mind merch, and about a week ago I finally found the time to start to teach myself how to set up an online store at Shopify and Printify. (It was as simple as it was tedious!) I made a few example designs myself and created a call for visual artists to submit their own designs. I’m excited to see what inventive designs grow from this project, and am looking forward to helping artists turn their designs into a little more money in their pockets.
Estate of Mind uses its portion of proceeds to cover costs associated with operations and developing opportunities for low-income artists. Wear your support on your sleeve (and chest, and back, and frankly your whole torso) with t-shirts, hoodies, and more.
Call for Artists
Submit your own design for consideration, and if your art is selected for our online store, we’ll split proceeds of all sales.
You do not need to be a resident here to submit art. We accept submissions from artists of all ages, skill levels, backgrounds, genders, orientations, and ethnicities.
